Detailed Overview

Jaipur, the pink city, was the first planned city in India, designed by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. The capital of Rajasthan is known worldwide for its colored gems and for its allure of ancient history combined with those of a metropolis. A fast-growing modern city, Jaipur is one of the three corners of the Golden Triangle, which is made up of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.

The story goes that in 1876, the Prince of Wales visited India on a tour. Since the colour pink was symbolic of hospitality, Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur painted the entire city pink. The pink that colours the city makes for a marvellous spectacle to behold.

Jaipur's culture is superbly visible through a private sightseeing tour of the city's captivating monuments like the City Palace, Amber Palace, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Jal Mahal, and Birla Temple. The pink color is only one part of Jaipur's brilliant culture.

It's not just these beautiful monuments that will evoke a feeling of ancient history. Local sightseeing to the bazaars, elephant rides at the fort, and the delicious street food of Jaipur will also charm you. Experience Rajasthan's culture and visit its most famous attractions on this full day trip of Jaipur city.
